At HOAR Construction we want to be seen as an integral part of the communities we serve and to make them better because of what we’ve done. HOAR Construction has been a proud supporter of the American Heart Association's Paul "Bear" Bryant Awards for more than five years. This unique campaign offers the opportunity to recognize college football coaches for their contributions both on and off the field. Each year, one top performing coach is selected to take home the “Bear” bust trophy and claim the final title of the season: the Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year Award.
Behind the scenes, the award is much bigger than a college football game and a season’s success. It is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on heart disease and stroke while raising valuable funds to support the lifesaving mission of the American Heart Association. Through the work and efforts of volunteers and sponsors such as HOAR Construction, the campaign has raised over $9.8 million to directly serve cardiovascular research and heart health educational programs of the AHA both locally and nationwide.
As the Paul "Bear" Bryant Awards celebrates its 33rd year, we would be honored if you would consider an “Open Your Heart” gift. These fully tax deductible gifts support the American Heart Association, as well. Donors have the opportunity to commit to a pre-event donation in honor/memory of anyone that is special to them.
All gifts will be recognized at the event and gifts of $1,000 and above will be displayed on the AHA Tribute wall.
About the American Heart Association
Since 1968, the American Heart Association has reduced cardiovascular disease mortality by 70% through research, programming and education. The AHA has invested $4 billion in research since 1949, second only to the national government. This has included 13 Nobel Prize winners and research breakthroughs in treatment and prevention, such as: CPR techniques, the first artificial heart valve, implantable pacemakers, cholesterol inhibitors, drug-coated stints and microsurgery. The need is still urgent as a heart attack or stroke occurs every 20 seconds. The mission is without question.
