Join us at the Halliburton Charity Color Run and Walk, an event in support of the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women Campaign. Go Red For Women is a national movement that empowers individuals to take charge of their health. Heart disease, the #1 killer, causes 1 in 3 deaths among women each year—more than all cancers combined. But we can change that because 80 percent of all cardiac events may be prevented with education and lifestyle changes.
MYRTLE JONES, ABDALLA AWARA, TAT LAM
As champions of the event, we are participating because each of us has experienced the painful effects of heart disease, either personally or in someone close to us. We believe you have a reason to participate too. Maybe you know a Halliburton colleague whose family has been devastated by heart disease or stroke. Maybe among your family, heart disease has made an appearance. One thing is certain: The AHA provides education and conducts vital research in the effort to bring heart disease to an end, and supporting its work is a powerful way to fight against this global killer.
