In 2017, while working on a project at O’Connell High School, Shanna Pennington’s life changed forever. At age 53 she never thought that she would experience a stroke.
By knowing the signs and symptoms of a stroke, Shanna’s husband was able to act quickly and she received lifesaving intervention. Two years later, Shanna has rallied back and as our survivor honoree will share her story at the 2019 Black Tie and Boots Heart Ball.
