Meet the Leadership Team 

Rachel Dash, Chair 

Rachel Dash is a Talent Acquisition Manager at PwC in Houston, Texas and is constantly on the road visiting with college students on campus. She wanted to get involved and create a young professionals organization within the American Heart Association to raise heart disease awareness within the young professional community. Even with a family history of heart disease, she felt unprepared to combat the #1 case of death in the U.S. and knew others felt the same. She's excited to share her passion for helping others with the Houston community!

Brittany Meisner, Leadership Team 

Brittany Meisner is a native of South Louisiana.  She studied Mass Communications at LSU and after two years working for Baton Rouge’s local ABC station, WBRZ-TV, she made her way to Houston to work for the local CBS affiliate, KHOU-TV. She transitioned into Public Relations and managed some of the city’s leading hospitality and food and beverage brands.  Brittany excels in establishing strong relationships with her clients and has utilized her extensive connections to secure significant coverage and raise the profiles of her clients in Texas. Brittany enjoys checking out Houston’s new restaurants, meeting new people, and spending time with her rescue dog, Maple.

Krystal Studavent, Leadership Team 

Krystal is Regional Director of Business Development for Bliss Lawyers, a majority woman-owned legal secondment and alternative legal staffing company at the forefront of reconfiguring and reimagining legal talent models.  With a unique background in legal, consulting, sales, marketing, and business operations, Krystal drives and implements strategic and proactive legal talent solution selling by working with legal leaders to understand their pain points related to staffing and creating new and flexible talent solutions to cut costs and enable teams to work smarter and not harder.  Krystal is a trained commercial transactional lawyer with seven years of legal experience and eight years of business development and business operations experience.  Krystal joined Bliss Lawyers after holding a strategic managerial and business development role for the Business Services Group at Am Law 100 global law firm, Norton Rose Fulbright, where she drove operational improvements internally, handled strategic projects, and supported revenue generation externally, to facilitate the firm’s commercial objectives. She served as a business partner to firm leadership throughout the United States and internationally, including teams in Canada, London, The Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Australia, and China.  Prior to Norton Rose Fulbright, Krystal served as General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Business Development for entertainment management company and record label home to Beyoncé and Solange, Music World Entertainment. In that capacity, she served on the executive team and managed a cross-functional team.

Krystal holds several esteemed professional and community positions, including: Co-Chair of the American Heart Association's young professional group, Young at Heart, and Co-Chair of American Heart Association's Heart Ball After Party in Houston, TX; Board Member of the Houston Association of Women Attorneys (activates in April 2019);  Houston Membership Liaison for the State Bar of Texas African-American Lawyers Section; and Hosting Committee Leader for The Downtown Group, an African-American female lawyer non-profit organization.  Krystal joined American Heart Association in 2017 because of her late father's unfortunate struggle with heart disease.
